Four helpless kittens nearly fell victim to the wrath of Tropical Storm Fay Thursday until some big-hearted Georgians came to their rescue.
The furballs were stranded on some rocks on Georgia's St. Simons Island, where the rising tides threatened to sweep them away.
Now they're headed for a shelter.

"One of them is going to end up being named Fay," said good Samaritan Trish Wooten. Joyce Matthews was one animal lover who braved crashing waves to pull the soaked kittens to safety.
Fay has pounded the coast for four days, driving alligators and snakes out of their swamps and onto streets in Florida.
The storm, which claimed 20 lives in the Caribbean and two in Florida, is expected to gradually weaken as it moves west. via
