I thought I would share the first time I saw a swing on a subway. From October 2006, this is the work of Caroline Woolard:
The few people in the car didn't seem to want to acknowledge a girl in a swing. But then the ice breaks when an ecstatic young woman shrieks and joins in. Afterward the swing folds into a small package as she exits as if nothing happened. What does it mean? I think Caroline explains it best:
"I subvert domestic objects like chairs and lights to cultivate everyday magic."
