Have a Wonderful Memorial Day

I have been thinking quite a lot lately of "building" a new home. I have also built my share of paper houses and have saved the flattened remains of one I made many years ago, recently discovered, under a bunch of books. If you want to get crafty this holiday, I would recommend a paper house, might be a nice way to remember what a friend or loved one's home looked like, or recall your childhood dream home and bring it to life now. The Joys of Polyvore

While waiting for something to render, compress, collate or print - or anything that keeps you waiting long enough to start sighing, don't bite your fingernails- go and play on Polyvore. How to explain.. hmmm collagey fun and fashion eyecandy collide. Or just make a pretty picture and gaze on other pretty pictures. I don't know why this is fun but it is!

No, I never wished for this, but sometimes you don't know what you want until you see it.. and yes I want this! :)

This video has it all, well, really depends on what you consider "all".. but a slo-mo dove, twirling ninjas, Fonzie clones and more.. that comes close to some sort of "all".
I bet you never knew this classic fave had so much going on.

A Meeting Between Two Creates Something New

Instead of just presenting their prototypes for viewing, the students of Beckman's College of Design, decided to collaborate and challenge the traditional layout of the Greenhouse at the Stockholm Furniture Fair. They want people to interact with their designs.

They also wanted to surprise people who walked around, and caught their presentation at just the right moment...

"Spaghetti Chandelier is a random decoration pendant light.
It is decorated with red-colored electric wire on white powder coated metal wire frame.
The highlight of it is the ‘orange chord’, which is widely used as an industrial material. He tried to transform the industrial material into the design of domestic furnitures and products. ‘The special socket’ is another design concept he tried to introduce though this project.
