Help a Home for Abandoned Children


Ghar Sita Mutu, House with a Heart is a home for abandoned children and a training center for destitute women in Kathmandu Nepal, where they find hope for their future.


Home and Community Outreach Program

Ghar Sita Mutu provides:

  • Nutritious meals, clothing, medical care and schooling for 16 children
  • Arts Program teaching native music and dance 3 days per week to 85-100 neighborhood children
  • Emergency Assistance Program providing meals and clothing to mothers in crisis
    The Women's Training Program
  • Sewing Program: Daily lessons in hand stitching, pattern cutting, and sewing machine use. (45 women attend)
  • Knitting Program: Daily lessons in basic knitting (30 women attend)
  • Literacy Program: Women in the training program are offered instruction in reading, writing and basic math
